I had the polenta ready, which I made according to the recipe bellow:
250 grams of corn meal (polenta)
1 liters of water
Pour the corn meal into the boiling water in a pot and cook for 30 minutes. You will have to stay close by and stir often. When it is done, pour the polenta into a glass dish for a few hours. It will set and you can cut any shapes you would like. I cut some rectangles and fried each side of them for 4 minutes in an oiled pan.
All I had to do is pour over the basil sauce, steam some broccoli and grill the tofu sausages. I hear that in Northern Italy polenta is like pasta in the south, thus, you can condiment it with any pasta sauces of your choice.
